Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q. I'm not very good with my hands. Can I still participate?

Yes, no problem! Most of our plans are designed for first-timers, and our artisans and staff will carefully guide you through everything, starting with how to use the tools. They’ll often lend a hand during difficult steps, so even if you’re not very crafty, you can participate with confidence.

Q. What should I wear on the day of the trial session?
Since you may get dirty from wood shavings, soil, paint, and other materials, we recommend wearing clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants that allow for easy movement; if you’d like to keep your sleeves and pant legs clean, an apron or arm covers are a good idea. If any parts of the workshop take place outdoors, please bring a light jacket or sweater appropriate for the season.
Q. Can young children and elderly family members participate as well?
While the target age range varies by program, many of the hands-on craft experiences allow for easy adjustments to the process, making them enjoyable for everyone from children to seniors. Since many programs allow participants to work while seated, they’re also highly recommended for three-generation families. Participation requirements vary by program, so please check them when making your reservation.

The sound of metal being struck and the feel of the metal in my hands was pleasant, and as I concentrated on it, I became absentminded. The craftsmen were attentive and supportive, making me feel at ease even though it was my first time. The finished ring became a great piece of art that I can take home with me with my memories.
